Ok, so we are all Foody's by relation, so therefore it was the easiest name. I did a bit of research about biggest loser games. Generally speaking, everyone says that full disclosure and weighing in on the same scale are important, but for us that is not realistic. The majority of our game will run on the honor system. So, here are the rules: 1. It is $50 to play. Money is due by the end of the game. 2. Our competition will start on Monday, March 1, so make sure you sign-on and weigh-in to join. 3. Weigh-ins are Fridays. However, if you prefer a different weigh-in schedule that is fine, as long as you weigh-in once a week. If you pick Fridays, here are the dates: 3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 3/26 4/2, 4/9, 4/16, 4/23, 4/30 5/7, 5/14, 5/21, 5/28 6/4, 6/11, 6/18 FINAL WEIGH-IN 6/25 (winner will be announced) 4. If you do not weigh in on Friday, you will owe $1. Weigh-in means that you log on and record your weight. I have entered my weight and so have other competitors and we can't see each others so we should be good there. All late weigh-in money is payable at the end of the game. 5. If you miss 3 weigh-ins, you will forfeit the ability to come in 1st place. But you can still come in 2nd or 3rd. 6. Winning the game a. The winner will be based on who lost the most percentage of weight. This website calculates it, so it should be a no-brainer. b. To be declared the winner, you must tell your weight to a 2nd party and weigh-in for verification. It should be good thing, since I would venture a guess that the winner would have to lose 20+ pounds to be in the hunt for first (so you should want to show that off) c. 1st prize will be 75% of the total put in; 2nd place 25% and 3rd will get any of the penalty money that accumulates.
